McLean-Mercer Regional Library, Riverdale, has an open position for an assistant librarian.  We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented person to work full time at the library in Riverdale.  The successful candidate will exchange library material with 8 member libraries, the bookmobile and the main library each month. Will process books for circulation; supervise circulation; assist on the bookmobile; assist the Library Director; and supervise the library in the absence of the Director.  The position requires the ability to interact with people of all ages, able to lift 30 pounds, sitting, standing, and typing.  A high school diploma and computer knowledge is a must.  Knowledge of library methods, procedures and services helpful.  Candidate will work 8 am-5 pm, Monday-Friday.  EOE  Position includes single health insurance and PTO.

Washburn Public Library change of hours:

The Washburn Public Library will be open Monday & Thursday, 2 pm – 6 pm, until further notice.

Used Book Sale:

Used book sale happening now through the summer. All hardback, used, discarded books are $0.25 each. All paperback books are 2 for $0.25.

Obstacle Course:

The Library now has an Obstacle Course painted on the sidewalk around the library building. The course is for all ages and includes running, hopping, walking, and spinning in circles. Come out and have fun on the course.
